SMART GOLF

On a golf course as busy as SaddleBrooke it is important that we all play "Smart Golf" to speed things up. If we all do our part, it makes golf the enjoyable experience it should be.

The rules we must all follow for Smart Golf are:

BE PREPARED -    Show up on time - not later than 30 minutes prior to tee off times
Allow extra time when playing Catalina

TEEING OFF -      Always carry an extra ball, tee and marker in your pocket
Be at your ball (if safe) on the fairway and green and ready to hit

FAIRWAY -          Bring all clubs that you think you may need. It wastes far too much
time going back to the cart

GREEN -       If you putt and you're close to the hole - PUTT OUT

If your ball is clean and playable, don't mark every ball. It is not
necessary to mark if you're not in anyone's way.

If you're having a bad hole and you know you're out of the money,
pickup and take your maximum. This may apply even before you get
                        to the green.

SCORING -    Do not mark score card when you get off the green - DO IT ON THE
                        NEXT TEE.

CART -          Move and position the cart so you don't waste time going back for it.
AND move a cart, even if it isn't yours. Don't wait for the owner. This
includes moving the other twosome's cart if applicable.

TIME -           At all times (tee, fairway, green), don't wait for person farthest away.
                      Play until person catches up.

Don't worry about those in front or in back of you. TIME YOURSELF
against the clock. When an hour is up you must be half way through.

Some of these rules bend the rules that you may have learned. BUT they are crucial to eliminate slow play at SaddleBrooke.
