SLOW PLAY POLICY
Pace of Play Policy
It is the position of the SaddleBrooke Ladies Niners that on league days
and in league sponsored events, the pace of play is to be maintained in
accordance with the Pace of Play standards established for the SaddleBrooke golf
courses.
Saddle Brooke
Golf Course Slow Play Policy (11/6/2009)
When the ranger encounters a group that has fallen more than 1 clear hole
behind the group in front of them (tee to tee or green to green) and is behind
the recommended pace of 2 hours and 5 minutes per nine holes, the ranger will
notify the group of their slow play and inquire if there is anything he/she can
do to help the group maintain pace of play.
If the answer is no then the ranger will let the group know that they are
behind and if they fall more than 15 minutes behind pace and still have more
than 1 clear hole open in front of them that we will be asking them to move to
the Green Tees until they regain their position on the course.
Once the group has regained their position on the course they may return
to the tees they were originally playing.
This policy will be in effect for all daily play and for League Play.
It will be at the discretion of the Board of each league as to how they
would like to score their events in the event that this happens.
Score posting in the Handicap Computer should be par plus handicap
strokes for the holes played from the Green Tees.
League Policy
Playing from the green tees will result in each member of the group being
assessed a 2 stroke penalty per rule 6.7 of the Rules of Golf.
This 2 stroke penalty is added to your
gross (and thus your net scores) at the end of the round.
The individual score for any hole played from the green tees would be Par
+ POPs (handicap strokes)
For handicap posting, the players need to use par plus POPs (handicap
strokes) for the holes played from the green tees. Do not include the penalty
strokes in the score for posting.
If more than 2 holes are played from the green tees – DO NOT POST.
Playing more than 2 holes from the green tees will also disqualify all members
of the foursome from any prize money for the day.
Note on your score card which holes were played from the green tees.
Players will not be moved to the green tees during special events (Club
