MAY 2008 RULES REMINDER

Out of bounds stakes!

Recently while playing on the Tucson course I was asked if a white out of bounds stake could be moved since it was in the way of the golfer's swing.  The white out of bounds stakes may not be moved under any circumstances.  Under penalty of one stroke you may take an unplayable lie from the stake and drop within two club lengths of the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole. The ball must be in bounds but the player may stand out of bounds when taking her shot.

Hazard stakes (red or yellow) and the 150 yard markers may be moved if they are in your way but must be replaced after your shot.
