            Protest Procedure

PROTEST PROCEDURE

During League play, if there is a question concerning strokes or rules, please attempt to resolve the discrepancy within the golf group, preferably before moving to the next hole or finishing the round.

For any rule dispute, play two balls to the green.  At the conclusion of the round, contact the Pro or the Lady Niners’ Rules Chairperson for clarification on the rule and/or rules.

If you are NOT able to resolve the dispute:

Member/Members

1.  Sign the score card.  If you are protesting, write by your signature, “under protest”.  If you are not protesting, your signature is all that is required.

2.  Complete a Protest form located in the green box by the Lady Niners’ Bulletin Board.  Insert the Protest form in the envelope provided in the green box and put in the Lady Niners’ box in the Pro shop.

Handicap Committee

1.  Determine if all members are involved in the dispute.

 2.  Audit the score card as usual.

 3.  Notify Tournament Chairperson of the dispute.

 4.  Call the President and Vice President informing them of the protest and the form is in the Pro Shop mailbox.

 5.  E-mail the postings, if any, of the member/members involved to the President and Vice President.

Tournament Committee

1.  Do not post sweeps winners until the dispute has been resolved.

2.  Pay sweeps after dispute has been resolved.

3.  Return score cards to Handicap Committee.

President/Vice President

 1.  Review the protest and contact member/members involved in the dispute.

 2.  Attempt to resolve the dispute.

 3.  When the dispute is settled, notify Tournament that the sweeps can be paid.

 4.  Notify Handicap if score cards need to be corrected and/or changes are required to postings.
