POLICY ON GOLF PACE OF PLAY
Assumptions
- Communication of the program to manage pace of play will be continuous,
to ensure that all players are aware of the acceptable Pace of Play.
- The acceptable pace of play at HOA#1 golf courses shall be 4 hours, and
include SMART GOLF etiquette.
- Starters, course rangers and golf shop staff shall be professional and
polite in their approach to golfers on the subject of course standards for
pace of play.
Policy
- Golf staff shall advise infrequent golfers about the expected pace of
play.
- Starters will periodically distribute a timetable to each group to
remind players of the expected pace of play.
- Rangers shall monitor each group's pace of play and to advise groups
that fall behind to return to the expected pace.
- Rangers shall advise a group that is not maintaining the expected pace
of play to pick up and move their play forward to the next hole.
- The golf staff shall request that a group leave the course when they
clearly demonstrate that they are unable tor unwilling to maintain the
expected pace of play
- Range shall prepare Incident Reports for the General Manager's review
when:
- The ranger must request that a group move forward to the next hole.
- A group is asked to leave the course.
- A habitual offender (group or individual) requires special
monitoring that keep the Ranger away from Their overall course
monitoring responsibilities.
The General Manager will advise offending players by a formal letter when
appropriate, of the requirement to maintain the expected pace of play. The
enforcement of the policy shall be implemented in accordance with Sections 4 and
5 of the Association's Rules and Regulations
