The club's usual play day is Tuesday morning. Tee times are assigned by the
Pairings Chairperson.
The Niner's shirts are a
comfortable wicking fabric in turquoise. The shirts have the SaddleBrooke
logo only. They are available in the Pro Shop in short sleeves or
sleeveless. If your size is not available, contact Brenda Brown at
825-5684 or brendabrown@wbhsi.com.
Dues are $80 for 2009, of which $25 goes to AWGA. Dues are
non refundable.
In order to play in a Tuesday event, you must sign up by 11:58 p.m. the
preceding Tuesday. There are no late sign ups allowed. See "Tee
Time Sign Up" for instructions to sign up via the phone tee time system, the
pro shop computer, or for special events.

How do I cancel a tee time?
Requests:
If
you have requested to play in a
Lady Niners' Event,
but the tee times have not yet been assigned, use either the phone system or
the Chelsea Computer system to cancel your request. This will require your
request confirmation number.
If you need to cancel a
request to participate in a Special Event (sign up via a sheet posted on the
Niners' Bulletin Board), please draw a line through your name and initial.
Do not erase!!!
Assigned Tee Times for
Tuesday Play:
If tee times have been
assigned (any time after 11:58 PM the Tuesday prior to the day you have
requested to play), please call the Pro Shop at 825-2505 to cancel.
The Pro Shop Staff may instruct you to notify the Niners' pairing person; however, this is
not necessary.
If you know you have signed up for a golf on Tuesday and when
you check the tee time system and it doesn't have a tee time for you; don't be
alarmed, but please check the Niners'' outside bulletin board or web page to
obtain your tee time. The reason the tee time system says you don't have a tee
time is because your tee time is after 9:52 a.m. (the last time the system
recognizes as a morning tee time before the cross over from one nine to the
other nine. The pairings sheet is posted on the Niners' outside bulletin board
no later than Friday a.m.
All checks or bills should be deposited in the Niners' drawer in the Pro
Shop. It is located to the left of the computer at the end of the counter. It is
drawer "3" and is labeled as Lady 9ers'. There is a slot at the top of the
drawer where you will slide checks in. If you have questions, the Pro Shop Staff
will be happy to assist you.

If you have giveaway items to donate to Junior Golf, please put them on the
ledge near the Ladies' Room in the Computer Area. The Pro Shop will collect the
items.

What items may be posted on the bulletin board in
the Club House?
Please note that the Niners' bulletin board in the posting room is
for Official Niners' Business only. Solicitation of any kind is
prohibited and will be removed promptly.
The following is a breakdown of how the Tournament
Committee pays the winners of each week:
Weekly, $25.00 is distributed to the 4 winners within each
flight, (see examples below).
If less than 15
Niners' play on any given Tuesday, no prize
money will be awarded.
The maximum of $25 will be distributed by: first place ($10) ~ second
place ($7) ~ third place ($5) ~
fourth place ($3)
15 to 19 players:
1 flight will be paid
20 to 30 players:
2 flights will be paid
31 to 54 players:
3 flights will be paid
55 to 79 players:
4 flights will be paid
80 players
& over: 5 flights will be paid
Note: Winnings will be posted each Friday, after the
handicap committee verifies players that were disqualified.
If the machine is yellow, do not trust that it will post for you at
a later time.
Do one of the following three things:
1. You can put your score in the RED BOOK
used to log posting problems.
3. Post on line
How to Correct Posting Errors or Posting Twice:
If you realize that you made an error after posting to the system, you
can correct the post in the RED BOOK in the computer room at the
clubhouse. The book has our name on the front. In the book, simply fill
in the information, i.e. there is a space to write the correct post,
name, date, course, and reason and that is where you can write that you
posted twice.
The Greens committee has requested that rakes for the bunkers be
place on the grass adjacent to the bunker and parallel to the
fairway.

What
if I disagree with the score taken by another player?
If there is a question concerning the number of
strokes taken by another golfer in a foursome, attempt to resolve the
discrepancy before moving on to the next hole. If not resolved, the card
should not be signed and a protest form should be filled out by the others
in the foursome and turned in to the Handicap or Tournament Chair. (The
protest forms are located in the green scorecard box on the Niners' shelf in
the posting room.)
(Please note that in this instance, you will not be disqualified for not
signing your card.)

How do I
score a hole not played?
With the arrival of our rainy season, there
may be times when the condition of the course or the weather may
cause some holes on the golf course to be closed. When a hole
is closed, or when the weather is bad and forces you to quit
before you have finished all 9 or 18 holes, yet you have played
enough holes to post, it will be necessary for you to take your
pops (plus par for the hole) on those holes you could not finish. To help you
figure out how many pops you can take on any given hole, there
is a "Pop Chart" posted on the Niners' bulletin board next to
the handicap chart (to the right of the outside entrance
door). There is a sheet for each course. Find your handicap on
the left of each sheet and follow the line across to the hole or
holes you were unable to complete.
Remember this chart is for all the Niners
to use, so please do not remove the chart from the posting room.
To print your own copy of the "Pop Chart" click on
the appropriate course:
Tucson
SaddleBrooke
Catalina
Now, it is not necessary for you to print a pop
chart since the chart is available in your NEW and IMPROVED
2009 Handbook.

Is there a drop zone on hole
#2?
There has been some confusion on how to play
hole #2. On league days (and any other Niners' event), the Niners'
have the option to use the drop zone. The drop zone on hole #2 is
located at the green tees. You would be hitting your third
shot. (Your tee shot is 1 and the penalty for going in the water is
2.)
